Important info

How we plan your tour:

First, your complete satisfaction is our ultimate goal when we plan your tour. We take into consideration that you want to enjoy the benefits of being with a group, but that you also want to spend as much time as possible doing things on your own.
We provide the itinerary and book the various campgrounds; you drive between these points at your own pace. We take you on guided excursions so that you see and enjoy those sights you will want to visit; you will have plenty of time for your own explorations. We always have our Tour Leader couple available to you for any help or assistance you may require and you can be just as independent as you choose.

Your itineraries:

Our many years of experience have taught us the best roads to take, the best campgrounds to stay at, the best and most informative guided excursions to offer and the most enjoyable dining out experiences, to give you the best European RV vacation possible.

Driving as a group:

Actually, we would prefer it if you did not, that is, "drive as a group"! Part of the joy of driving an RV in Europe is that you are not part of a multi-vehicle convoy. Also, it is not very safe, especially on back roads or driving through small villages and it's not fair to other drivers on the road. We encourage you to drive on your own or with one or two other couples Directions in your detailed Tour Book are very easy to follow. No fear of getting lost! Those who would prefer driving together can join one of our mini-convoys of six or less vehicles.

Your flight from the USA to Europe:

We will be happy to assist you with booking your flights and at the best possible fares, just call us. Should you prefer to make you own flight bookings, that's fine. However, if you do make your own air arrangements, you are responsible for your own transfers to and from your hotel, both at the start of and at the end of your tour.

Your European RV:

Your late model RV, included in the tour price, is a diesel motorhome, which is both easy to drive and easy to park. It is 18 feet long and sleeps four people. Larger models are available at an additional cost. All RV's are equipped with bedding, towels, kitchen utensils and a radio. There is also a hot water shower, toilet, stove, refrigerator and heating. Your RV is fully insured with a US$750 per occurrence deductible. Your RV rental is based on unlimited mileage! No addition charge for your side trips!

Your RV Equipment:

Included in your tour prices are the following

Full tank of diesel fuel
2 bottles of propane
2 blankets
2 bath towels
Pots & pans
Camping table

Full tank of water
Toilet chemicals
2 pillows & bed linen
2 hand towels
Cutlery
2 camp chairs

Your RV provisions:

You will, of course, need to stock up on groceries for your tour. You will have plenty of opportunity to shop at the beginning and throughout your tour. After you pick up your RV on arrival in Germany your Tour Leader Couple will take you shopping. You may want to make up your grocery list before you arrive. Each campground has shopping facilities and you will want to visit shops and stores for local specialties and basics during the tour.

Your RV Campgrounds:

We chose your campsites based on location and facilities. All reservations are made in advance and all fees, including electrical hookups are included. All sites have hot showers and toilets available, as well as dining and shopping facilities.

Your Tour Book, Route Map & Tourist Information:

You will receive this information package before you leave home. Plenty of time to familiarize yourself with your itinerary and places you will be visiting. The package is full of useful information and will answer most of your questions. You will have a briefing after arriving in Europe for any additional questions you may have and any additional information you may require.

Your Tour Leader Couple - "Wagonmasters":

Your tour is fully escorted in Europe by our Wagonmasters, who are fully experienced and available to you at all times. No time off for them! They not only know the cities, towns and countries you will visit, but they also know the local language.

Your Excursions & Guides:

Both local professional guides and your Tour Leader couple will lead your program of excursions throughout your tour. We use motorcoaches, which avoids driving your RV in busy tourist areas. You will be picked up and dropped off at the campground.

Your Time Alone:

Your itinerary has been planned to give you plenty of time for exploring on you own, shopping or just taking it easy.

Your Admission Fees:

There are none! All admission fees for the excursions and sightseeing detailed in the itinerary and are included in you tour price.

Your Fuel Costs:

Your standard diesel RV gets about 23 miles per gallon. Your itinerary lists how may miles you will travel on each Drive Day, so it is easy to calculate an approximate fuel cost for you particular tour. However, the miles shown in the itinerary do not include any side trips you may make on your own.
