Holland has long been famous for its flowers and April is Tulip Time in the Netherlands, the perfect month to visit. Our tour includes the world famous Keukenhof flower gardens, an excursion to Haarlem to see and admire the floats of the Dutch Flower Parade and a stop at the largest flower auction in the world in Aalsmeer. But Holland is more than just flowers. We also visit the exciting city of Amsterdam, the Venice of the North; The Hague, Holland's capital city, the miniature city Madurodam and many small, old Dutch towns, including Leiden & Delft, famous for its pottery.

Your tour also includes Belgium, with visits to Antwerp with its beautiful cathedral and the Ruben's House; Bruges, famous for its lace and the cosmopolitan city of Brussels. We then spend some time in Luxembourg visiting the capital city and driving through the Mosel River area with time for wine tasting. On to Germany for a visit to the Laacher See and visit the Monastery of Maria Laach.

Tour Itinerary:


Day 1 / Tue
Overnight flight from the USA to Frankfurt, Germany

Day 2 / Wed
On arrival at the Frankfurt Airport you will be met by your Tour Leader Couple and transferred to your hotel in the Frankfurt area. The remainder of the day is at leisure and this evening you are invited to a Welcome dinner. (D)

Day 3 / Thu
Drive Day - 94 miles
After breakfast at your hotel there will be a briefing about your tour and the RV pick up procedures. In the afternoon transfer to the RV Depot in Frankfurt to pick up your vehicles. We then take a drive, from Frankfurt to Wassenach and will spend the night at the "Laacher See" campsite. (B)

Day 4 / Fri
Drive Day - 175 miles
We leave Germany and drive to Leersum in Holland where we stay at the "Ginkelsduin" campgrounds in Leersum.

Day 5 / Sat
This morning we leave for a full day's excursion to the charming Dutch town of Utrecht where we visit the Clock & Street Organ Museum and have lunch at the Montfoort Castle. In the afternoon, visit to the picturesque Oudewater and the Heeksenwaag, the Witch Check Point. Return to "Ginkelsduin" for the night. (L)

Day 6 / Sun
Drive Day - 55 miles
Leave Leersum this morning for the short drive, to Noordwijk, where we will spend the next five nights. Our drive takes us along the Vecht River with its riverside luxurious summerhouses. This afternoon a bus tour to Haarlem where we see the floats of the famous Dutch Flower Parade.

Day 7 /Mon
Today's excursion is to the famous Dutch Flower fields, including a visit to a flower grower. We also visit the Qruquis Museum, famous for its steam mill that is used for reclaiming land from the sea. Then on to the Keukenhof, the flower gardens, the most famous and beautiful in the world. Tonight dinner is in Katwijk aan Zee. Return to Noordwijk for the night. (D)

Day 8 / Tue
Today's excursion is to Amsterdam, the Venice of the North. En route we will make a stop at the largest flower auction in the world in Aalsmeer. Lunch is included and in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to take a Boat Tour of the city's many canals, visit a Diamond Factory, Anne Frank's House or make a visit to the many and varied museums, including the famous Rijks Museum. Return to Noordwijk for our overnight stay. (L)

Day 9 / Wed
A day on your own. Perhaps you will want to revisit the flower fields or the nearby quaint Dutch towns of Delft, famous for its blue and white pottery, or Leiden where there is a museum called "Rijksmuseum van Oudheid" with lots of interesting Egyptian antiquities and a small temple.

Day 10 / Thu
Another full day's excursion this time to the Dutch capital city, The Hague In The Hague we will visit the Parliament Buildings. After lunch we visit the miniature city of Madurodam - all of Holland in just one city! Lunch is included. (L)

Day 11 / Fri
Drive Day - 100 miles
We leave Noordwijk this morning and drive to Nieuwvliet. And make a joint visit to the Delta works, where you may visit the Museum We then take the ferry from Vlissingen to Zeeuws Vlaanderen, where we spend the night at the "Pannenschuur" campgrounds.

Day 12 / Sat
Today's excursion is to the city of Antwerp in Belgium where we will visit the Plantijn Moretus Museum, the Ruben's House and Antwerp's Cathedral. The remainder of the day is free for shopping and other independent activities. Tonight dine at a Russian Restaurant with live music. Return to Zeeuws Vlaanderen for the night. (D)

Day 13 / Sun
Today is completely free! Rest, read, shop or explore the area at your own pace.

Day 14 / Mon
Drive Day - 45 miles
Today we drive to Nieuwpoort in Belgium, a beach town near the French border. En route stop in Brugge, to take a walking tour of the town, which is often referred to as the most medieval town in Europe. Both tonight and tomorrow night stay is in Nieuwpoort.

Day 15 / Tue
An excursion trip today to Ieper to visit the famous Flander's Field Museum, which will give you a very detailed impression of the First World War. After an early dinner we visit the "Menenpoort", which is now a British monument, where the Last Post is played every night at 8:00pm. Return to Nieuwpoort for the night. (D)

Day 16 / Wed
Drive Day - 90 miles
This morning's drive takes us to Geraardsbergen, which is 25 miles west of Brussels, where we spend the next three nights. On the way we visit to the Castle of Beloeil

Day 17 / Thu
Your excursion today is spent in Brussels, Belgium's capital city, with lunch included. Our sightseeing will include the Grand Place, Palace Royale and many other beautiful buildings and cathedrals. Plenty of time for shopping and you must remember to buy some of the famous Belgium chocolates. We will also visit the monument and museum at Waterloo, the battlefield where Napoleon was finally defeated. Return to Geraardssbergen for the night. (L)

Day 18 / Fri
A free day in Geraardssbergen. You may wish to return to Brussels or the nearby interesting towns of Gent and Doornik. Also a chance to get those post cards written!

Day 19 / Sat
Drive Day - 155 miles
Your route today is to Larochette in Luxembourg, On the way we will make a stop in Bastogne, site of the Second World Ward's Battle of the Bulge and at the Battle's museum. The next three nights are spent in Larochette.

Day 20 / Sun
A free day in Larochette. You may want to make a visit to the Castle of Vianden or just take it easy.

Day 21 / Mon
Your excursion tour today is to Luxembourg's capital city where we will have plenty of time to sightsee and do some shopping. Then drive through the Luxembourg Mosel River area and test the local wines! Then a visit to the city of Echternach, before returning to Larochette for the night.

Day 22 / Tue
Drive Day - 100 miles
We leave Luxembourg this morning and drive to the camping are at Laacher See in Wassenach, Germany where we spend the night. This afternoon we visit the Monastery of Maria Laach.

Day 23 / Wed
Drive Day - 94 miles
Drive to Frankfurt, Germany this morning, where we return your RV's, and then transfer to our hotel in Frankfurt area. Tonight enjoy a traditional Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant. (D)

Day 24 / Thu
Transfer from our Wiesbaden hotel to the airport in Frankfurt for the flight back home. (B)
